Happy New Year 2010!

Honestly, I'm not good in words and sayings, but here are some quotes that I can find...erm well, to enhance our new year spirit.. :)

“Another fresh new year is here . . .
Another year to live!
To banish worry, doubt, and fear,
To love and laugh and give!

This bright new year is given me
To live each day with zest . . .
To daily grow and try to be
My highest and my best!

I have the opportunity
Once more to right some wrongs,
To pray for peace, to plant a tree,
And sing more joyful songs!”
by William Arthur Ward (American dedicated scholar, author, editor, pastor and teacher)

“For last year's words belong to last year's language and next year's words await another voice.”
Little Gidding II
by T.S. Eliot (American born English Editor, Playwright, Poet and Critic, 1888-1965)

“We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day.”
by Edith Lovejoy Pierce

“Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.”
by Oprah Winfrey (American television personality,Actress and Producer, b.1954)

“The object of a new year is not that we should have a new year. It is that we should have a new soul”
by G. K. Chesterton (English born Gabonese Critic, Essayist, Novelist and Poet, 1874-1936)

"Year's end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us."
by Hal Borland

"The Old Year has gone. Let the dead past bury its own dead. The New Year has taken possession of the clock of time. All hail the duties and possibilities of the coming twelve months!"
by Edward Payson Powell

"Glory to God in highest heaven,
Who unto man His Son hath given;
While angels sing with tender mirth,
A glad new year to all the earth."
by Martin Luther

"A happy New Year! Grant that I
May bring no tear to any eye
When this New Year in time shall end
Let it be said I've played the friend,
Have lived and loved and labored here,
And made of it a happy year."
by Edgar Guest

Although for short, "Happy New Year 2010" is enough for a greeting... Hence, for a blesings.. I wish for lots of happiness, good health and a better wealth for all of us this new year also for the rest of the coming year... God bless...and may peace be upon us all..
